Herpes zoster is a common clinical symptom with clusters of blisters, unilateral distribution and obvious neuralgia. The onset of herpes zoster is mostly related to fatigue, cold and other inducements. The early symptoms and signs are not typical, and can only be manifested as pain or erythematous papules.
It is self-limiting, and the treatment principle is antiviral, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, shortening the course of disease and preventing infection, and reducing post-herpetic neuralgia.
Most patients with herpes zoster are accompanied by pain, which lasts for a long time. Early and sufficient antiviral treatment is the key to reduce the residual neuralgia.
Now there is herpes zoster vaccine available.
